The photographs of Angelika Krinzinger’s latest series seem familiar, although we have never seen them before. These photographs speak to the individual archives of images and impressions of each observer. They evoke memories of paintings familiar to us although we have never seen them. Thus, our minds produce images for bodies we believe we know, although we have never met them. The photographs offer us views only of the details of painted bodies, but we immediately recognize them as such.
